How to look after my corsages

Keep your body flowers in the plastic or paper box they arrived in and place in the front of the fridge. Be careful not to place where they will get to colder than 3degrees Celsius. If lettuce freezes in your fridge, so will your flowers. Once flowers are frozen they will turn brown and wilt.

What is floral food and do I need to use it
The floral food you received with your cut flowers or vase arrangement is a combination of sugar and acids which your flowers need to live longer. Mix solution as per the instructions on the package. Your flowers will open better and last longer if you use the flower food properly. Arrangements that arrive with the foam do not require food as we have soaked the foam in the solution in your stores.

Do all the flowers come in a vase?
No. We have a large selection of cut flowers that do not come in a vase. It will state on the description if the flowers you have chosen arrive in a vase or gift wrapped.

Do I have to sign the card
No, you certainly do not have to sign the card and we will not disclose your information unless asked for by the authorities. I would like to say though that I can pretty much guarantee that the recipient is going to call and ask us who sent the flowers! So unless you feel very sure that the recipient is going to know who sent the flowers, go ahead and sign the card! It is not necessary to write anything witty or fancy on it..just a simple Thinking of you can put a smile on anybody’s face!

What happens if the person isn’t home when the flowers arrive
We will then leave with a nearby neighbour and leave a message on the recipients answering machine letting them know where we have delivered their floral gift to.

Are the flowers quaranteed to arrive on the date selected.
Yes! If you order your flowers by 2pm for residential delivery and 10am for Business delivery, we guarantee that the deliveries will be made on that day. Should something happen that we are unable to do so, you will be notified immediately.

How will I know when the flowers are delivered.
We will send you a delivery notification via email letting you know your flowers have been delivered.

How do I know what my flowers look like?
Your flowers will look very similar to the item you had chosen. If at any time our designers feel that with the selection we have in the store at the time of your order they are unable to achieve a similar look and feel, we will contact you prior to sending out your gift to discuss the options.

Why are the thorns left on my roses?
We do not take the thorns off our roses as this will cause distress to your roses and shorten their lifespan. Whenever a thorn is removed it leaves an open "wound" on the stem of the rose which invites bacteria which in turn will cause your roses to wilt prematurely.

Can I reuse the green foam my flowers came in.
No, once the foam has served its purpose, it is sure to have bacteria throughout the foam. This bacteria will severely shorten the lifespan of the next group of flowers you place in the foam. The foam is also not able to drink up with water like it does when new, which will cause dry spots throughout the foam, again shortening the lifespan of your flowers.

How can I make my bouquet last longer
Be sure to place your bouquet in a VERY clean vase filled a couple inches with floral solution. Recut your flowers every 3 days with a sharp knife at an angle, place back in freshly cleaned vase with fresh solution. You only need to ensure that the bottom 1" of your shortest stem is in water, it is not necessary to fill water to top of vase. Keep remaining solution in fridge to use for next time you cut flowers. Keep flowers away from hot and cold drafts, out of sunny windows and away from any extreme temperatures.
